FS Total Livestock Services

FS Total Livestock Services is the feed marketing division of South Central FS, South Central FS, Madison Service Company, Gateway FS, Agri-Pride FS and Southern FS. TLS sells livestock feed, show feeds, pet feeds, horse feeds, animal health products and livestock equipment associated with the responsibility of raising and caring for animals.

Our livestock specialists are "test-certified" as Enterprise SPecialists and specialize in the different species of dairy, beef, swine and become knowledgeable in all pieces of the TLS Livestock Enterprise System.

Dairy

TLS was one of the very first companies in Illinois to personalize dairy rations specific to the needs of each particular farm. We utilize North America's largest feed company, Land-O-Lakes/Purina as our support for nutritional expertise in balancing each dairy ration. We also utilize information from other industry leaders, major universities, research facilities and land grant colleges. Our full line of Land-O-Lake calf starters, milk replacers, supplements, pre-mixes, and additives compliment the personalized dairy feeds designed by our nutritional staff.

Swine

TLS works in all areas of the swine business but especially prides itself in collaboration with independent and interdependent area swine farmers. TLS uses Land-O-Lakes/Purina as the nutritional package for swine support along with other industry leaders, universities, and research farms. Each Swine Enterprise Specialist is certified in areas of the TLS Enterprise system wheel, along with using a close out program for each farm.

TLS Farmers Network, LLC was formed in 1996 to utilize the efficiencies of swine specialization and create a network of independent farmers growing and marketing animals. This network allows farmers who are efficient with sows to farrow the pigs and then TLS purchases the pigs and facilitates the weaned pigs to other area farmers as a 12# weaner pig or through farmer-owned nurseries and then sends them on to farmers wanting a consistent source of performing 50# feeder pigs to feed and market.

Maximizing value and total farm income within the pork production is our goal at TLS. TLS farmer network also facilitates for area swine producers a livestock receiving yard, allowing producers to co-mingle semi-loads of market hogs to minimize freight to harvest and minimize sort loss.

Beef

TLS sells area beef farmers all the necessary products needed for profitably on feeding brood cows, yearlings, stockers, and feedlot cattle. TLS uses Land-O-Lakes/Purina nutrition in beef and offers Rangeland tubs, weatherized Rangeland minerals, and locally-manufactured TLS Table-Steaks minerals for the brood cow, calf, and feedlot. TLS provides expertise for the backyard pasture feeders, show animal enthusiasts, and the larger sophisticated feedlots. TLS sells all the Rangeland, Steak maker, and Stress Care products designed to match each cattleman's needs.
